The Fyromians are just conditioned to hate their Bulgarian name because the name is connected to the Bulgars. Quite frankly, who gives a FUCK? The name means fuck all if you make something of your country. People won't care if your nation's name is clown, nigger, ass or cockgaggler, people will admire and respect you. Right now, people all over the world just laugh at the banana republic because they rejected their Bulgarian name. It doesn't matter how many times the Fyromians want to deny it it IS their name and always will be.
