To slightly disagree, not so much to Western beauty (in the sense of European) but of American beauty. There's a big difference there.

I don't think it's fair to generalize about all Lebanese in this sense, circassianwine..There indeed is a minority of Lebanese who disassociate themselves from the Arab world and attempt to europeanize themselves, but this is an issue somewhat complex and goes beyond plastic surgery. it's a dilemma of not having a unified national identity alongside the sectarian/religious fragmentation, so those who want to disassociate themselves with the Arab world do so because they associate 'Arab' with 'Muslim', and see that those terms are synonymous with backwardness, sadly. anyways when it comes to plastic surgery, it is indeed gross how distorting it is but I really don't believe it's trying to europeanize themselves (in most cases atleast). it's just they're fitting a certain ideal set forth mainly by the Arab entertainment industry. You're singling out Lebanon when it's known how notoriously widespread plastic surgery is in the Gulf and in Syria (in addition to the popular sales of whitening creams).

She is the Lebanese version of swan, a Lebanese swan. She turned from a geek ugly women to a fantasy none real women.

Tbh I think she looks exactly the same in both pictures. It's just that she's smiling in the first picture, which would make anyone's nose look broader. Oh and the fact she's wearing contacts.

Yeah, Lebanon are wanna-be french people. They name their kids with names Marie (Instead of Mary, they pronounce it Muh-ree) and Antoine and other French names. However what I think is the real situation is that since they are somewhat abundant as an East Med type that leans closer towards South Euro features, the others who have arabid features get plastic surgery to change in to more white looking type that leb has. also I know plenty of Lebanese that look clearly mid-easterner but are still handsome or pretty. I think you may have exaggerated it a little bit. Really I saw some beautiful girls my age there when I was 13. Same with Syria, but I only saw faces of women in the christian parts of town because the Muslims were covered.
