I like all kinds of meat deer, buffalo, beef, chicken, turkey, sparrows, quails, duck, lamb, rabbit, camel, goat and variety of fish. Pork though I will never touch it, nor would lobster. Pork is not healthy for you and is one of the most harmful meats, and like you mentioned Yaroslav it's not really animal made to be food, the reason people eat it because it's cheap due to the litter size of the pigs unlike say sheep, it's about saving money more than anything. As well if Pork is not cooked right you can get diseases and various health complications, so it's better to be safe than sorry.

You can say that about any meat that isn't cooked well. What are these disease risks associated with pork? Seafood has mercury and other toxins, and there was the madcow scare with beef, and salmonella can be found in all meat, especially chicken.

There's no scientific reason to avoid pork. It's entirely religious driven, even to the point of paranoia, like the mass slaughter of pigs in Egypt.
