This is the latest murderer in Canada, the guy who sent the foot to the prime minister's party's office, and the hand to the opposition, and left the torso in a suitcase in a dumpster in Montreal. He killed a guy, and dismembered him, distributing the parts to different political offices. He also filmed the killing and dismemberment and put it on the Internet. In the video he not only kills and dismembers him, but has sex with the body (after legs and head are gone), used the severed hand to masturbate, had oral sex with the head, ate part of the buttocks, fed part of the leg to his dog, and then sodomized the legless, armless body with a wine bottle.

He had a history of harassing people on Internet forums, and posting videos of killing kittens. Somebody he harassed said to a moderator on one of these forums "Please stop this guy before he upgrades to humans".

Luka Rocco Magnotta, the 29-year-old sought by police in connection with a suspected homicide linked to the mailing of body parts to political offices, is a self-described model with a sprawling online presence that includes allegations of animal killings.

Police issued a Canada-wide warrant for Magnotta on Wednesday after a human foot was sent to the Conservative Party headquarters in Ottawa. A headless torso was found in Montreal.

A hand addressed to the Liberal Party was later found at a postal depot, CBC's Evan Solomon learned.

A man with the name Luka Rocco Magnotta has a presence online as a low-budget adult film actor and is known for controversial videos he has posted online in the past.

I can't help think that if he'd have sent body parts to a liberal political party, the usual suspects would use this as an example of "typical rightists." That's the kind of mentality among the most programmed and opportunistic.

At work yesterday we were talking about this around the water cooler, but it was only known about the hand and the foot. People at work thought it was probably a prank/political statement pulled by a med student who had access to practice cadavers, since there are protests about tuition fees going on in Canada right now, and also a law on the table to restrict protesting which people are also pissed off about, and the parts were sent to government offices.
