On which side did your ancestors fight in WW 2?

(Even though I guess I already know the answer...)

I start with Axis.

My ancestors fought against the axis, like most people in Eastern Europe at the time.

Axis, Communist Partizans and Allied Powers.

So, all the possible sides.

Against the Allies most of the time, but in 1944-1945, Bulgaria was against them and i know that my great grandfather was in the Nagykanizsa–Körmend Offensive, where they fought against Nazi Germany, Croatia and Hungary.

My mothers grandfather was independent; fighting both in White Legion and Zeleni Kadar for independent Bosnia, while my fathers great grandaddy joined the SS after he lost family members in Foča to Partizans/Chetniks.

Also the brother of the fathers great granddaddy was a sergeant in Black Legion. But in the end it was all pointless, my fathers side was all shot and my maternal great grandfather got 8 years imprisonment for "Anti revolutionary actions" with both sides of family losing what remained of their lands, three villages and a mine which were stolen for "benefit of the nation, brotherhood and unity".
