Hardly totally different. It's easier to see the mentality if you're a foreigner than if you're not just as it easier to notice grammar rules in another language than a native speaker.

I believe Croatia contributed to the modern day term 'Balkanization'.....

Balkan mentality - work to live instead live to work, listening to Turkish inspiring music, drinking coffee at the bar all day... That is how I perceive Balkan mentality i can not remember right now but I could list many more things

I guess this is present in Croatia too but what is the most important is that we slowly try leave that behind and that is the most crucial factor to me.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia... ( do not about Bulgaria or Greece ) what I wrote IS THE WAY OF LIFE.

This thread is about question Croatia is or not balkan country,? it is balkan country here is talked about Balkan region (word speaks itself thats automatically mean its about geographical position sense, while culture take place on different concept of society i dont think that its of any importance mentioning culture as condition about position of any country in geographical meaning,i must mention that even within same country some cultures are different.

LOL! I drink nescafe a lot and enjoy it and to be honest, I prefer our cafe cult over bars in the States. If that makes me somehow backward, than be it

Also, I suspect Ushtari decided to troll our hearts out hmmm...

    Default Gibraltar

When I visited Gibraltar in January, 1954, it gave me the impression of being a thriving English-speaking town. The nearest Iberian town was La Linea de la Concepcion on the other side of the airport, which had the distinction of having 700 brothels.

It was Spanish-speaking, dirty, and poverty-stricken. If that was any sample of Iberian communities, then Gibraltar was definitely NOT Iberian at that time

Hehehe! Not really, it depends on the personal culture of the individual and Co. he/she works for. There are companies all across Balkans who have very high work ethic and discipline and can be easily compared to hard core capitalist USA companies.
