It shows that some Western Europeans have a very broad idea of the Balkans.

BTW, Hungary was in a union with Croatia for a few centuries:

On 2-3 rare occasions, I've seen Hungarians and Slovenes themselves refer to Hungary and Slovenia as part of the Balkans. I don't associate those regions with the Balkans myself, but that's what I heard them say. Of course, they're a tiny minority but its interesting that there are some people in those countries that think like that, however small their amount is.

Also, how similar would you say Hungary is to Poland? I remember you saying before that Poland and Hungary are only great friends because you guys have nothing in common (or something like that).

Balkan is artificial GeoPolitical term invented in 19th century by one nation from western Europe (guess which) to keep "sheeps" togethar in their own country, nevermind.

Anyway, when Balkan term is invented area of Croatia was never part of it on any map of Europe from any european country UNTIL Croatia entered into Yugoslavia 1918.

You can check Italian, German, British, Spanish, Irish, MARTIAN, Austrian, Russian etc maps of Europe from 19th century and early 20th, and you will not find Croatian area as Balkan on any of them, but in fact Croatia is shown on them as border to Balkan.

THIS IS A FACT MY FRIEND, I can show those maps till the end of the world, all of them.

But I would rather say somethin more about term Balkan itself, that term IS AN INSULT to every nation on this area of Europe, because it is invented as God awful term for ppl who cannot live without war, so that everyone can point fingers at them sayin; "look, if we're not careful, we could end up like war savages like them".

South-Eastern Europe ("Balkan") was once A DIAMOND OF EUROPE, until 1453, area which was THE CREAM OF CIVILIZATION of Europe troughout Medievals, now..., it is a JOKE.

And all of those ppl in so called "Balkan" who loves that term, they're like some idiots who love when someone pissing on them, same thing.

Balkan is not a peninsula, It's not, that's just a Geographical fact, if one would consider that as peninsula than you can throw all laws of Geography away about what makes peninsula a peninsula.

It is a GeoPolitical term invented IN PURPOSE, FOR A REASON, for the sheeps "on Balkan" and for the sheeps outside of Balkan to keep them togethar (AKA; UK).

Their ideal is tall and blond. So yes maybe British masses are sometimes ugly but a.) they are still superior to spanish and italian masses and b.) the British upper classes and elites are more like Nordics and Germanics eg everything little greasy spanish wine waiters dream they should be.

Modern population genetics suggests that the ancestors of the majority of English people were not fifth-century Anglo-Saxon invaders, but actually came from the 'Basque' region of South West France and northern Spain..

Blonde and tall like these ?

The fact that you ignore it doesn't mean that the fundamental differences between your country and the above which separate them to different categories from yours don't exist

This is not "Balkan influenced", this is Dinaric local culture. There is no Dinaric culture in Romania, Bulgaria, most of Albania and Greece, so you can not Dinaric culture call Balkan culture (maybe west Balkan, but its not only local culture in west Balkan, so its also innacurate).
Inner Dalmatia have Dinaric culture too.

Dinaric culture among ethnic Serbs is dominant, and Serbs for Croats are Balkanites, so maybe this is reason why Croats see Dinaric regions in Croatia as "balkanized".

Are you sure ? Translyvania in many ways reminded me of Bosnia, with it's mountains and sheperding culture. Only difference is instead of Oriental there is Central European legacy in their cities.
