Ińárritu is by far my favourite 21st-century Mexican director. I've liked his four movies, and I can't say that of all directors.

Like French movies were dealing with our legendary characters nowadays. Be happy to have films in your language.

Unfortunately, the versions of them with subtitles in English are usually the ones dubbed into Spanish. So foreigners never get to listen to the real original version.
Wait wut, Eva was filmed in Catalan ? I thought the girl was played by a Mexican actress.

For Portuguese, I'd have recommended that :

I won't go through French movies, it would take hundreds of pages. But these last days I've been re-watching that :

She's born in Catalonia. Her surname is Spanish, though, and I don't know about her background. It could well be Mexican, her eyes point that way in fact.

As for the film, I guess it was filmed in bilingual shots, as it happens with many films shot here, because actors like Marta Etura are not Catalan and don't speak the language. Foreign actors are later dubbed into Catalan. And Catalan actors often dub themselves later too for the Spanish version. This way the film has both versions almost by the same time. The original version is said to be in Catalan by the Catalan Films site.

The police broke it up, and I was not detained lucky though I was warned to behave myself in Brazil. Anyways the nightclub is not in a favela but some industrial neighborhood bordering one.

    Films filed in Serbia/Yugo:

    Savior
    Pretty Village, Pretty Flame
What's that new movie with Jolie? I think Blood and Honey.
