I constantly lift 2 litters beers when I'm drinking, periodically dropping the weight as I drink it. Does that count?

It sure helps, my stamina was rather bad before I started, too much idling in front of the computer.

    Default Yes, long ago

I used to lift weights in the late 1950's. Unfortunately, my joints objected to the tensional stress and I developed tendinitis. In later years, I used to take long walks until my feet began to pain me owing to hammer toes. Nowadays, I rarely walk more than about 1/4 mile (0.4 KM.)

No, I find gym, jogging and such extremely boring, while I love sports, like skiing, tennis etc.

Why wouldn't it, it takes effort no matter how you look at it.
