The man on the left is not Faelid he is Field Marshal von Hindenburg textbook East Baltic from Coon.

There is no contradiction. Coon didn't use Fälisch and his East Baltic type has a broad spectrum. From Paul von Hindenburg which is equivalent to fälische Rasse to that Polish guy(Neo-Danubian-like) which corresponds to Osteuropid(Slav). People get confused because they come here and see all those Nordic/Brunn/Nordic-Brunn/Nordic-Alpine/Nordic-Mediterranean/Atlanto-Mediterranean examples and think they're fälische Rasse. The only valid East Baltid that has no equivalent in other authors' systems is a Mongoloid admixed type.
Much of Coon's ''East Baltic" survivors are nothing but Borrebies and Phalians.
There are no Mediterraneans in this thread from what I have seen.
Some individuals do have Nordid admixture, as pointed out in some cases by me and others.
Classifying differently people who fall into the same range just because of their nationality is simply a bias.

You have a weird idea of what a Mediterranean is.
I guess you are another sock of Silver Lining known for seeing Meds everywhere (and for his notorious dislike of them).
Somerhalder has greater bizygomatic and much more expressed gonial angles than any Mediterranean type does. Square-faced man out of Mediterranean spectrum. Yeah, I posted him long ago and he fits the Faelid bill:




Even if one is missing his ability to recognize similarities at first view you just need to compare Somerhalder to actual examples from authors to see he falls comfortably within Dalofaelid range (particularly similar skull to the upper example):
