do you go to theatre plays? are you into art?
you know what I've noticed? although Romanians get on average more northern genes (especially Moldova and northern Transylvania) than Bulgarians, as a whole I think that in Bulgarians you more often see Russian/Eastern Euro looking people. maybe because Bulgarians get all their northern genes from Early Slavs (Eastern Slavs) while Romanians get some of the northern genes from other sources as well? (Hungarians, Germans, Poles, Slovaks, Czechs, as we have or had all these minorities as native)

I watch Bulgarian cinema more than theatre.
From my perspective Romanians are pretty similar people to us but more brachycephalized (alpinised in the case) and authors' studies confirm it.
A large part of Thracians were of Northern type and some Goths (and Scythians) also settled here. The Mediterranism of Bulgarians comes partly from Bulgars and partly from the fact Med types existed among Thracians, too. The latter were, more or less, a balanced population genetically. Recently I read a Bulgarian professor saying genetic studies of ancient Thracians place them as closest to the modern populations of the Czech Republic and Austria, so yeah, East Mediterranean and Iranic traits of Bulgars do play a role.
