I've seen many people here where I live who would've fit the Faelid spectrum whilst having a flattened occiput.

I'm curious about the guy on the top and him being frequently used as a primary Faelid example while having a flat occiput. Compare him with the guy on the bottom, who I say would rather belong to the Trønder type. And the guys I posted (I'm not too sure about the women since they usually have hair long enough to cover their occiput protrusion up), who were used as Faelid examples on SNPA, all had a seemingly flat occiput. So why is that many Faelids appear to be brachycephalic, when it's being described as a meso- to dolichocephalic type?

Could it be that many who are wrongly classified as Faelid are rather in some other kind of CM spectrum (perhaps Robust Alpinoid, Borreby or Brünn)? I think that many old Faelid examples from the 19th/20th century are rather in the Trønder range; this guy for instance:

He looks very Scandinavian, and I don't see him really passing in the other nucleus area for the Faelid, ie in Germany and Benelux.

Guy on top, an example from Herman Lundborg, has some protrusion of his occiput although less than example below.
He has the important facial characteristics, too - these well-expressed gonial angles, the deep-set eyes with average size forehead, his nose (although this is a more variable trait) and jaw type. The facial morphology indeed fits Phalian type and diverges from other Cromagnids (Borreby, Brunn, East Cromagnid). I do agree about Rutger Hauer you posted above showing other admixture (of Nordid type, imo).
