Are Serbs closer to Albanians or to Russians?

Russians. Language, religion, genetics. You have some Serbs who are phenotypically and genetically closer to Albanians though. Mostly the Southern Serbs and Montenegrin Serbs.

Albanians.

Purely because I've found Albanian and Serbian men generally attractive, but not so much Russian guys. Superficial way to see it, but that's just one weird way I can determine which ethnicity is closer to the other -- My taste in guys. Lol.

But Russian girls are very pretty then then again so are Serbian and Albanian girls.
Yeah Albanian men are usually hot, Russians and Serbian men not so much, most of the so called hot Turkish men are more likely to be Albanian in origin some way.

Culturally closer to Albanians I think. If I imagined a Serb, an Albanian, a Russian among other nationalities in a classroom abroad, chances are on average, the Serb and Albanian befriend and feel close to each other more quickly. Religion wouldn´t matter that much.

I can make friends with a German or a Spaniard who are similar to me in character, while some Russian will disgust me. Friendship is an individual factor. Serbs as a people are generally closer to Russians. Genetics means nothing, the main thing is self-awareness. Orthodox Serbs have been our allies and friends throughout history. In the Russian Museum dedicated to the Kulikovo Battle with the Tatars, the first exhibit is the battle of the Serbs with the Turks. Only after that, the Russians proceed to the second hall.

Yes, you are right of course. But I think the same language or coming from a very similar place can make it easier to befriend somebody. But it`s not a guarantee. Therefore, an average Russian might be closer to an average Volga Tatar than to a Serbian as long as nobody is "disgusting" and everybody is new to a place.. Tatars already now Russians and Russian culture very good. But a Serbian doesn´t deal that much with Russians in his country For example, I know a Chechen girl which is very close to a Russian German girl and they can talk in Russian to eachother. I once randomly mentioned that my great grandfather was from Russia, too. And they approached me and wanted to know more about the story. So I gave them a reason to be to curious about me. As a fun fact I supposedly look like the father of that German Russian girl who is an ethnic Russian. Although I have been classified as an Atlanto Med in this forum.
