I am against it. We all ready have enough problems with dead beat dads and moms. A child needs a masculine figure and a feminine figure. Society is trying to force civilians to tolerate homosexuality. Homosexuality is a mental illness.

Homosexuality is not a mental illness. It is no longer recognised as such in the medical world and you can pick up any DSM IV and see that. The DSM V is coming out in 2013 and I can guarantee you that it won't be in that one either. If you are studying medicine then you should know this.

Homosexuality has always existed and it's going nowhere. People are only more open to discussing it nowadays. It is also known in the animal world, for a same sex couple to kidnapl a hetero couple's baby and raise it themselves. This proves that homosexual couples are not just found in the human race.

I agree about dead beat parents. I also agree with the masculine and feminine role models. But two gay parents are adopting because they WANT a child. Dead beat moms and dads DON'T want their children or couldn't care less. That is wherein the difference lies.

All that said, I'm still not sure if I'm for it or not. And I lean much more strongly against it than for it.

There was also a study done that suggests lesbian households have the smallest incidences of child abuse. There are messed-up people and good people in all walks of life.

I'm going from experience here. I know a few homosexual couples who have children (two biological and one adopted). Their children are fed, dressed, educated, and loved. Is it ideal? That's subjective. Is it typical? No. Is it bad? The proof is in the pudding. I really don't care whether or not two men, two women, or a man and a woman are raising a family as long as they are GOOD parents.
