What is your opinion about the Byzantines?

The Arabian forces basically reduced the Byzantine empire into Anatolia and parts of the Balkans. As well the reason the Byzantine lost, was thanks to the Ghassanid and other Arabian tribes that settled in the Levant in 400 A.D and destroying anything that was of Hellenistic influence and only nominally adopted Christianity.

Byzantines protected Europe from the Muslim plague for 1000 years...

On the West,things were easier for Arabs in Spain.

I am proud that people hate the Greeks.
It means that we were strong competitors and rulers back then.

Byzantine Empire was regularly ruled by Armenians and Slavs. Greek rulers were far and few inbetween.

And it was Bulgarian soldiers who did most of the work protecting Constantinople from Islamic armies.

And let's not mention it was the Greeks who invited Turkish mercenaries to Europe... setting the stage for the inevitable conquest of Balkans by them.

True, give me your opinion why you see them to having contributed positively. The reason I made that choice, because they seemed as an empire to have basically lost most of their lands they conquered to the Arabian forces, who basically met little to no resistance from the locals, and the Arabian tribes who were oppressed due to their pagan faith, in fact they would ally with the Arabian Muslim forces like the Nabateans, same thing as well happened in Egypt and Libya. The Arabian forces literally reduced the Byzantine empire into only parts of the Balkans and Anatolia. Eventually the empire would fall to the Turkic tribes and creates the modern birth of Turkey. I see it as weak empire, and certainly cannot be compared to the British or even other empires that were powerhouses, hence it's from a political pointview they were a pretty weak empire.
