    Default Standing ab wheel rollouts

I've been doing these lately and think that they just might be the best abdominal exercise I've ever done.

    Ab Wheel Rollout
Not bad, as a matter of fact one of my favs. To me the best are: Stomach vacuum, the flag, ab roller exercises, windmill, straight leg sit-ups, hanging leg raises. I may have forgotten a few, but those are more than enough to get abs in shape.

I this what I think targets my abs the best. I do straight leg raises, and I'm up to about 10 in the first set, and then 6-8 in the next two sets. But I have a gym membership, and that piece of equipment is there.

The mere fact that you refer to your midsection as "abs" rather than core tells me enough

Any exercise that involves leg raise targets lower abs. For balance you need upper abs, and obliques exercises to hit it all. Situps and twists would fit.

One thing I would add for the overall abs health, and even overall health are stretch sit-ups. Commonly practiced in East Europe and practically unknown anywhere else. The tremendous benefit they provide is that they stretch hip flexors, thus preventing lower back problems. It's really a great exercise, with tremendous health benefits.

Oh I am! Back when I first started, I could only do two! But I had a c-section 18 months ago, and it's been slow progress to rebuild my muscle tone, as my muscles were actually cut! I also do oblique work on a machine, high reps of 20, two per side with the lowest weight on the rack, which is 30.

And I also do torso raises, two sets of ten.

I'm still a heavy person, so believe me it's a lot! But hey! I've lost 35 pounds since the baby, and only 45 more to go!
