Only in the modern Western world do people think all cultures are compatible. Mostly it's a play on the new power of the common people, who are generally ignorant of how the world actually works and are seemingly incapable of forming a logical thought without assistance from others, hence the media's role. I guess it's a matter of complacency from comfort. As soon as things get bad people will probably understand why. Hopefully they can form conclusions through objectivity and not from what others and the media pressure them to believe. In many ways this globalized culture parallels with Rome and its policy of Bread and Circuses to distract the people from such manipulation. Asians, and to a much lesser extent Africans, understand very well that cultures aren't always compatible. Only Europeans and their former colonies are under some odd notion that the world's people are all the same and have the same fundamental goals. Anybody who doesn't fall within this ideal is a racist or if they're not white - a terrorist. Such an odd idealized world we live in is bound to self-destruct. Anyway, the video is great!

In Canada it works fine. Usually people here often respect the Canadian culture and they are often more integrated into it. As well Canada often makes the best effort to welcome the new comers an make it easy to assimilate. As well Canadians like to learn about other cultures and respect each cultures personal space. It seems Canada knows how to deal with it, but then it was always multicultural in a sense this why the transition is often easier.

It hasn't ruined Canada yet is what you mean. Canada would also be fine if it was 100% white European, but it wouldn't be fine of it was 100% black or 100% Muslim.

Someone left a comment on the video that sums up how I feel. I fixed its grammatical structure though, due to many typing errors.

"Multiculturalism, when it comes about naturally, is great. When two or more cultures interact they can both benefit. When cultures clash, are forced to live together, are unable to coexist, that is when multiculturalism fails. I go to a college with a lot of multicultural students and people get along very well. Everyone is there to learn, not to convert others or to argue. It's forced multiculturalism and politically correct bullshit that are problems."

No in Canada it just works prefectly because the generalized Canadian culture acts as the dominating culture, well the other cultures are merely like sub-cultures that are often respected and left to themselves, but if they transgress against the generalized Canadian culture they get punished and rightly so. I think Canada is fine as it is. I like the diversity in it, and what it stand for, certainly if Canada looses that it would be sad. I love Canada it's a great country. I think the picture will look differently much like if it was 100% Amerindian as it once was. It's all about mutal respect, basically it's like school with the different cliques they often are workable if the school system is strong by everyone respecting another, and hence this is the beauty of Canada.

As well Canada never had racist laws strongly as that of the U.S or Australia it was always more liberal. There very few episodes of discrimination but they often were overturned even at times targetted at Eastern Europeans and especially Southern Europeans. It also depends on the community you get, most communities here are thankful for Canada and respect it, because with it out they would never had a chance to have great opportunity for their success and enjoy life to the fullest. I think multiculturalism can work when people respect a generalized culture and their adopted nation, but if they are trying to alter that then they are scum ungrateful bottom feeders.
