It's amazing how many falsehoods alleged holocaust survivors reported, such as "Nazi shrunken heads" and "lampshades made out of human skin" which are now debunked by every mainstream holocaust historian.

I've read extensively on Auschwitz-Birkenau as it is the claimed epicenter of the gassing of the Jews. The lack of evidence there is massive, and the biggest hole is probably the lack of credible witnesses.

The question is: what did he see ? Heaps of bodies and starving people ? Certainly: typhoid etc. was rampant in the camps and while Germans themselves were starving as well they wouldn't have had enough food to bring to those in the camps.. let alone medicines since the Allied air raids had wiped the floor with the entire kraut infrastructure/industry. The crematorium ? Of course. Gas chambers ? Well not even Holocaust deniers deny their existence as, indeed gas chambers were present for.. delousing clothes. There is one problem though: the gas chambers that can be found in Auschwitz today were built after the war. I think that it is indeed time for another full-scaled independent inquiry so we can put the entire subject to rest because whether it did or did not happen doesn't change all that much: without the Jews the Germans still killed 35+ millions Europeans.

Except that Americans never occupied an area that was believed by historians to have a mass gassing camp. What the US servicemen were told was by their superiors, who were told so by intelligence people who disproportionately were made up of immigrant ex-pat Jews who fled the Nazi regime. A very similar crowd made up a large contingent of the US prosecutors' staff at the Nuremberg Trials.

This US Zone propaganda is well documented in the film Buchenwald: A Dumb-Dumb Portrayal of Evil. The sources for the film are all from mainstream historical books including those written by people who were there, thus any arguments on the subject actually avoid addressing the quality of the references.

Now the question to you is if you're open-minded enough to consider your friends/family may have been misinformed, but I assure you that if you are willing to sit and watch that film, you will be very surprised, if not outraged.

There were individual Communists at camps like Dachau (and Bergen-Belsen) who tried to start a rumor there, and as ex-inmate and anti-Nazi Paul Rassinier pointed out, it was Communist Party line to claim gassings. Even though his health was shattered by his time spent in the camp system, he spoke up when the Marxist rabble began spreading gassing rumors.

Likewise, if you look at books such as The Death Factory by Kraus and Kulka, you see the gassing story. Here, too, for example, Kraus and Kulka were former inmates of Auschwitz-Birkenau, were admitted Communists, and were participants (and possibly leaders in) the Auschwitz camp resistance movement, which had a huge hand, according to former members and known Marxists such as Bruno Baum, authored the "Auschwitzpropaganda" being spread by them which was picked up by worldwide media.

One major historical source for the mass gassing claims at Auschwitz-Birkenau was Danuta Czech who wrote the Auschwitz Kalendarium (I own a copy in English), was likewise a Communist inmate. That book is also oft-quoted in holocaust literature.

Also to point out, documents handed over by the USSR are taken on face value as 100% legit by holocaust historians, regardless of oddities or wild claims in them. This includes specifically the so-called Einsatzgruppen Reports which I personally believe by my reading (I own the book and read about half of it) have absolutely been tampered with. The only question to me is how much they've been tampered with. Inconsistencies appear in the authorship which indicate clearly of outside tampering. See Report #111 for an example of this. It should be still available online.

The verification process is so bad that it doesn't exist at all, in fact. This is likewise the same with "witness" testimonies. Nobody will even so much as ask why Elie Wiesel has no inmate tattoo number on his arm. Even renowned holocaust author Raul Hilberg (I own his 3-volume work as well) admitted that the quality of scholarship in holocaust studies is shoddy and horrible.
