    Default Emotional Intelligence test

    http://testyourself.psychtests.com/testid/3038/

    It's quite long: 146 questions.

    I got a 33/100:

Your results indicate that you need to work on improving the skills that can help you identify, perceive and express emotions in yourself and others. Difficulties in this area of emotional intelligence can hinder your ability to read others, to understand how they feel, and to effectively identify your own emotions. Lacking these skills could mean that you struggle to relate to others and may sometimes even question why you yourself behave the way you do. Review the results below for further information in order to identify where improvement is recommended.

You appear to have at least some basic skill when it comes to identifying, perceiving and expressing emotions in yourself and others. However, there is still a great deal of room to improve on this core ability.

Hm, so far it seems as if the average is in the 50s for forum posters. I'd expect the scores for people who don't spend much time on the internet to be a bit higher. Now if only 26 more people take the quiz I can make a Normal Distribution.

Edit: My score is probably low because of my autism.

Bump, for those who haven't seen this thread or haven't had the time . I'd really like to do some statistical analysis on these sample sets and a few others I've collected for comparison.

    I got 85/100.

I am really in touch with my feelings and emotions!

Well, to be honest, being a Buddhist helps with those silly tests. It really is unfair to know more about the mind than the test designers do!

My mother scored 57, which was surprising to me, because I consider her very empathetic. It seems like the 50s are the most frequent so far though.

I've got ten samples so far, twenty more to go. I'll post the distributions after I make them. I wonder if there is a sex difference as well. I would think women would be more empathetic than men, for example.

I think they make a mistake over here. I have a systematic comprehension of others feelings, but the only problem I have is expressing my own (in a way that's fully understandable by others) and comforting people at times. Everything else I am completely fine with.
