No. I do not think I will marry. But if I were to marry, she would have to be a Bible-believing Christian.

Where's the option for maybe, or perhaps? I have been all over when it comes to religion and philosophy; but I would not want to marry or even date someone who is extreme with any sort of religion or personal philosophy. I know people who are like this and it is a bit too much and let's just say I am very glad I am not married or dating them, and that I do not live with them..

I think if it's marriage and you're having kids and such, things are certainly easier if you share the same religious beliefs, or if at the very least one parent is willing to compromise. If you have a Christian and a Muslim, or Christian and Jewish or whatever, and one parent refuses to compromise on a single issue with it comes to future children, then things just won't work in the long term. Without children these conflicts would certainly be less heightened.

Christianity teaches that we should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Spouses are supposed to reflect Christ and the Church, head and body, groom and bride etc.

However, there are some circumstances where God may permit an inter-religious marriage. It should only be done if that Christian feels that God has put it on his/her heart. It could be a way for God to draw that person to him through the Christian as well.

As a general rule though, its better to avoid it. For all moral, traditional, cultural, ritualistic, child raising purposes.

Religion to me is only as good as the person practicing it. We are all human beings, faith does not make one greater or lesser in my opinion. I respect anybody who has self discipline, a sense of community and who fears God. Islam is just a sect of Christianity which is just a sect of Judaism. I have read all three (4 if you break up the Torah), studied the various denominations and sects, met people of all different faiths and have never liked anyone more than the other that was a good person.
