Pas, kuče, ker, dzukela. Those are usually used in Serbian language.

Nobody (from Slavs) speaks "sobaka", why we do? Turkish influence? But linguists say that "sobaka" is an Iranian word (IE).

Maybe some Iranian speaking people in Russia introduce the word?

I am not a linguist but the Romanian word for dog pup (cățel) and the interjection for calling a dog (cuțu) seems to be derived from the above mentioned kuče or kuciu. Isn't that a turkish, and not a slavic word 'tho?

Same for bitch, which is cățea

The word for dog is câine, from lat. canis

кутюха / kutiucha in my dialect of ukrainian (koo-tyoo-ha close to koo-kyoo-ha) that gave to moldavian dialect cotiugî / cotiugă of the same meaning. also the common собака / sobaka and пес / pes

also гончак / hončak (hon-tschak) that gave moldavian gonșiac / gonceac for hunt dog

(moldavian has about 1/4 of its vocabulary slavic btw )

Avlijaner is used more for backyard dogs ,those you collect from street and take it home, but it takes food from whole neighborhood and usually wonder around.
