Many Bulgarian nationalists today claim that they have minimal Slav blood and mostly proto-Bulgar, and that the Bulgars were an Iranian tribe, therefore giving the Bulgarians their swarthy look today. I'll leave the Bulgarians to sort this out amongst themselves though.

Novi Pazar, i just claim the purely Bulgarian lands, not tthe lands of other people. In this logic i should claim Half Greece, Romania, Albania, Serbia, Bosnia etc., but i don't claim them and i doubt that any Bulgarian would.
