No, Germany is distinct from Scandinavia. It also has a better economy and work ethic compared to Nordic countries (slightly). I find North Germanics are a bit less formal.

Germany is Germany. Scandinavians are quite different from Germans, they are not as formal/officious and I feel like the culture encourages more hiptser-ish and freewheeling lifestyles. Germans on the other hand are a very by-the-book, no nonsense people.
