Are modern Greeks really related to ancient Greeks?

Yes, but have also ancient Greeks dna, if i remember they are modelable like Ancient Greeks and Phoenicians

IMHO wrong question. Obviously they are descended from ancient Greeks, but something foreign was added as well, breaking the line.

In the same way Russians have some Nordic ancestors, but are clearly not Nordic except in isolated pockets and even then Asiatic admixture is high.

"Asiatic" (I guess you mean Mongoloid) admixture is not high in ethnic Russians.
