Nil Ushakov wins the post of a new Riga mayor

RIGA, July 1 (Itar-Tass) -- At the first meeting of a newly-elected Riga legislature chairman of the major Russian-speaking union Center of National Concord Nil Ushakov has won a majority of votes in the elections for the post of a new Riga mayor.

This party has won a confident victory at the Riga elections on June 6, receiving 26 out of 60 seats.
