I'd trust my cat 100% with kids - he's very soft natured and would definitely seek refuge than turn on them.
The difference, however, is that your cat is pretty much incapable of killing your kids. A medium sized dog is more than capable of killing a three year old, but a house cat would be hard pressed to kill anything other than an infant. I've never heard of a cat killing a child in any way other than unintentionally smothering it by sleeping in the crib with it. My point was that animals with the capability to kill your kids are not the best things to keep around them.

After I know the injuries my cat can make on our dog and my mother, I don't trust these animals anymore...

Definitely. I gave my cat some of the tuna I was eating the other day. When my dog came sniffing around to see what the cat had, the cat game him the meanest look I've ever seen a cat give. The dog's tail immediately went between his legs and he scurried out of the room.

On the other hand, animals don't seem to attack babies and little children at all, even the wild ones. There are true stories about babies raised by dogs and even wolves. Looks they can feel the defencelessness and harmless, which prevents their aggressive behavior. I've seen absurd situations like lioness taking care of a baby antelope and leopard of baby monkey in natural environment.
I remember seeing a documentary from islands in South Eastern Asia, where people took large snakes (pythons I guess) to protect their children.

P.S. About the case with the python babystangler - snakes love milk and it is quite possible the baby smelled of milk?

No that is not true i was bitten in the left leg by a dog on a play ground when i was 5 year old!! The dog owner did not had him on the leash when he was walking with the dog. I did nothing with the dog before , i was playing with other children ---- no provocation of the dog!! It was no very deep wound but i have fear of large dogs and dont like them now. We had to go to a doctor and i received a vacination in the wound

My own dog also bitten me when I was 5. She was deeply asleep and I touched her back, so it was my fault. Never claimed such thing could never happen, just the possibility of attacking baby (not grown up child) seems to be less than attacking adult. You never know if a dog would like you or not, so you must be always careful when passing near large ones.

Are you a grown up child with age of 5!!??
You never know if a dog would like you or not, so you must be always careful when passing near large ones.
I was not passing the dog because i was playing on a play ground --- for the 3th time i say this. The dog came running to me!! It is not my fault that the dog bite me or do you think it is my fault for beeing there??

What ever ---- i dont like big dogs and i have fear of them! Dogs who get agressive when innocent people are doing something in public should get locked up or should walk only on a leash!!

Snakes don't belong in a house with babies - end of story. Animals belong outside away from babies and toddlers. There was no way that I trusted my exes dog around our son, she had a jealous streak. She was never in the house and I watched her like a hawk when my son was outside. We didn't even own cats until the kids were older. This is just my take on it but my kids are far more important than any animal!

Your dog was not trained properly then ("properly" includes being exposed with babies/young children as puppies if they're going to be around them regularly) . Dogs who are trained and socialized properly as puppies and also given loving homes do not snap, bite, or attack people.
