I personally feel more related to Bulgarians, but I voted for Serbs because the majority of Macedonians feel closer to Serbs, and that's mainly because we shared one country not so long ago, meanwhile they forget that the Serbs do not recognize our church and that the Serbs forcefully occupied our land in 1913.

Bulgarians do not recognise our nation and they occupied our land too.

Serbs. Most Macedonians follow pop culture and would rather be affiliated with Serbs than Bulgarians. Thanks Tito.

Why should they recognize their own people as distinct from them? They did not occupy us, they wanted to unite with us. Serbs occupied us against our will and Serbianized us.

actually no orthodox church in the world recognises Macedonian church, so by that logic you should dislike all orthodox people of the world, including Bulgarians.

Did Serbia occupy territory of today`s Macedonia? ... I guess it depends on your perception, if you are pro - bulgarian oriented, then I guess it`s in order for you to view it as an occupation.

Yes, it was an occupation because it was forced. We were forced to change our names to sound Serbian and forced to learn Serbian in schools. If someone identified as Macedonian or Bulgarian, they most likely would of spent time in jail. This was also the case in Greece.

I remember a Serbian priest was jailed in Macedonia not too long ago. What was that all about? I was just saddened by it and shocked.
