No one should look like they've just stepped out of a gulag unless they really have stepped out of a gulag. That poor woman, and everyone else like her in this world need to have a lot of compassionate help, because this is a travesty that this happens. But yes, it very much is a mental illness, and I believe 95% of all mental illnesses are diet based. Meaning that you have a lack of proper nutrients in your diet that prevent you from having vibrant health and clarity of mind, and happiness. I hope that she is able to get some help, because those pictures are absolutely heartbreaking.

The problem is that fashion is mostly run today by homosexuals who are designing clothes to women. Homosexuals believe that male body is sexy and that effects the way they design. Now that said, there are women out there that were born thin. Today we have have a warped perception of what beauty is. It is either to thin or to fat.

Recently, there is a story of a Greek tv present in the news, and her anorexia.

I wasn't fully aware of how much of a ''mental'' problem this was, until I read some articles.

Does anyone have struggled with anorexia and/or know more about it?

Anorexia Nervosa is a serious disease. The woman you have depicted here is going to die very soon if this keeps up.

This woman clearly has even more issues going on than just her Anorexia, though. She reminds me of the New Jersey woman who has a tanning obsession.

Mental disease. I've never wanted to look like a model, never liked models in fact and despite that I have eating disorders which I fight even today. Being a fat child and teenager isn't the greatest way to life your early youth. I didn't starve myself to anorexia, however was near that condition. Still think and act like Ana sometimes, no matter I know it lacks logic.
Don't feel sorry for the anorexics - they want it, so they cause that to themselves. The death caused by body eating its own organs isn't beautiful, nor glorious.
Yesterday I was thinking is anorexia something that could happen only if certain substances in the brain are in the certain amount. Like drug addicting. Drug addicts usually lack of certain amino acids causing every person to feel disgusted by the effect of narcotics. Which is the turning point when the body starts eating itself? The less you eat, the more weight you retain - the organism keeps itself and slows down the metabolism. I know that from my personal experience. How long should you starve yourself to reach 28 kg? Maybe months without any food. Can everyone do that? I doubt that. No matter how badly you want to be slim, there is a moment you just realize you've went too far.

But I feel sorry for this girl ofc and all other people who suffer from this mental desease.
I hope she gets proper treatment before it is too late.

Dandelion, I don't mean to be disrespectful to a person who's on the verge of dying, but I feel like saying this:

this person is a fucking bimbo. Did you ever watch her on TV? She always had that entirely blank, spaced-out look, all she lived off was gossiping celebrities and commenting on how they gained fat around the hips and don't look good in what they're wearing etc.
This is what she made a living off.

She was an ugly idiot to begin with (odd looking at least -- but made ugly because of how disgustingly stupid she is) who was obsessed with celebrity gossip and show business industry.
Of course she fell into her own trap.
Making a living out of gossiping other women and how they look will surely turn against you at some point.
You feel like you need to measure up to these impossible standards you set for others, because you feel guilty that you make a living criticizing others.

The fact that she's an airhead with no brain, and while she's on the brink of death she still has time for a solarium and a bad peroxide job instead of focusing on her health, doesn't help her much either.

Now, I don't wish death to this particular person (or any person), but I am just sayin' - cruel as it may sound - that if she dies, it's not such a major loss to humanity...
