    Default Azerbaijan Armed Forces

Azerbaijan is currently at conflict with Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh, the peace talks have been stalled currently, and the military build-up continues.

During the last 2 years Azerbaijan spent $3.7 billion on arms procurement, and one of the most recent arms purchases include the $1.6 billion contract signed with IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries) in early 2012.

Currently the military spending stands at $5 billion. In comparision, Armenian military spending is $300 million.

    Some of the military equipment:

    S-300PMU2

    Mi-35M

    Mi-24 Superhind (upgrade of Mi-24)

    MLRS

    Mig-29

Strange the Russians sold you the S-300's. How did the Armenians feel about that?

Rosoboronexport and Russian arms companies could care less about what Armenia thinks.

The Mi-35Ms are also recently bought from Russia, and they in fact pose a greater threat to Armenians than those S-300s.

And currently there are negotiations on purchase of T-90 and BMP-3.

If they were able to do that they would do it long time ago.

We feel nothing,as its not something new.

Russians always support both sides,in fact they have supported azerbeijan completly at the beginning of the war, they only started to support us when they felt like azerbeijan is gonna lose the war.
