Do you support the independence of the North Caucasian republics from Russia?

The North Caucasian republics are part of the Russian federation, but at the same time they have witnessed tense relationship with Moscow, which escalated into the Chechen-Russian war. Well other North Caucasian republic are not into a conflict with Moscow, do desire independence at least the people there. The North Caucasian republics like Adyghea, Karachay-Cherkess, Karbadino-Balkaria are rich in various natural resources, and Chechyna has oil. However some believe that if the North Caucasus leaves Russia, that it will falls in being a puppet to the emerging nations such as China, India, Brazil, and it will fall in the hand of the Anglo-American hands. Others say that the North Caucasus is vastly different in culture and traditions from Russia and that they should left them go.

It's a possibility. Although it's most likely China and India will take advantage of the situation, especially the first, this because of the vast natural resources that the North Caucasus has to offer. Russia will never let it go, because it needs the North Caucasus for strategic reasons.

The Idea sounds nice but I think Groznenka/terek said it best when she said these republics can't survive financially on there own.

As a person who grew up at Northern Caucasus and familiar with customs, traditions and mentality of different people living there I find such a question rather disturbing. It seems to me like someone planting seeds of war into people's minds. If such ideas will go around it will end in bloodshed.

Local autonomy is good, but however much I am for self-determination, independence is a big step that shouldn't be taken lightly. Also, just because there are tensions doesn't mean that independence is the key.

Well there has been rise of Ciracassian nationalism and conscience. This is very strong especially in the United States especially areas like of New Jersey which holds the highest amount of Circassians in the New World, however it has spread across the diaspora. There are many who are calling for an independent Circassia and homeland. There is also tents of Pan-Circassian ideology.

Not a seed of war but rather the seed of freedom have been planted for a while and many want to take the opportunity. As well Circassian nationalists favor ties with the Western World.

What do you mean by this? The Adyghe, Abaza, Karbadians, Cherkess all seek to be independent in their new homelands and many want to get their lands back and free from Russian control and create their own future.

They can because the North Caucasus is one of the richest regions of Russia with natural resources, but Russia wants them to be dependent on her as their no hope or glimmer of being independent. However it will take a while for them to use these resources and built upon it.

Yeah, why not! But if i remember correctly, these territories were invaded right? And even if they do get independence, will Russia continue to support 'puppet' governments there like Kadyrov etc?
