it fails to be European. Also is fugly. But the second part is a personal opinion. I also find that Malta seaside resort to be quite average. There's like 10.000 towns in Malaga with more personality. Looks like a poor man's Chipiona.

Why would I do that? I'm not actually from Erbil. I'm from further North in the mountains but a mountain isn't exactly a city.

Jealousy in which sense? I was only talking about St.Julians, which looks nothing to brag about. La Valleta on the other hand seems a pretty cool place.

No wonder people goes malta to lear English. It has better weather than Glasgow (and arguably better English ) Still, I have not said that Malta is poor in history or culture, again, only that the town you posted is rather dull and standard , not too different from a zillion other tourist resorts all over the western world.

Perhaps St.Julians might become a little quiet in winter (not so much), but trust me, in Summer at night it looks great with the lights reflecting the sea, people swimming/doing BBQ's near the sea, bars, nightclubs, hotels, restaurants and obviously tourists, which make the place very lively and fun .

Seems to me that yours is a matter of taste.
