Is PMT a myth?

My girl says it's a myth. She never gets mood swings (unless she is legitimately pissed off about something).

Not a myth. I've a clinical diagnosis of PMDD (otherwise known as PMS times a million), yeah and the chocolate cravings are real too. I hate chocolate except during Hell week. Also crave hot sauce, I eat it by the bottle.

I think all women are different. This article generalizes a bit. Little things can affect a person in one extreme or another.

From what I've noticed the ones who do have bad mood swings or get nasty are usually on edge or heavily emotional all the time and just lose any control when it happens. Other women are low key about it. Everyone's different.

It is not mood swings actually happening to me but I suffer from annoying swelling (2 kg ) and also I become clumsy ,unable to focus and forgetful.

I agree. I am not at my best when the bloodwave is coming. You can literally FEEL the blood being cramped out and my breasts feel like they should be feeding an entire orphanage.

However, I'm open to the idea that some mood-swings might be swept under
the period rug whereas they would otherwise remain unexplained.
But still, hormones are quite strong, I'm having a hard time believing they have no impact on a woman and her surroundings.

What a weird thing to say. Like PMS is some sort of male conspiracy to keep the woman down, to not care about her.
I might as well say it's a female conspiracy to get away with shitty behaviour.
