Miss Greece 2009 is half Italian, but the question is what kind of Italian?
Many "Italians" in southern Apulia, southern Calabria and eastern Sicily are essentially Latinized Greeks. On the other hand, Greeks have very little in common with Lombards or Piemontese.

As a rule of thumb:

K(indergarten) - age 5
1st grade - age 6
2nd grade - age 7
3rd grade - age 8
4th grade - age 9
5th grade - age 10
6th grade - age 11
7th grade - age 12
8th grade - age 13
9th grade - age 14
10th grade - age 15
11th grade - age 16
12th grade - age 17

These ages are for the start of the school year. The school year normally starts in August, no later then the second week - it use to be the first week of September. It depends on where you live but in many locals the child is required to reach their 5th birthday before starting kindergarten or 6th before starting 1st grade. Not all states required kindergarten in the pass, I believe they all do now. Where I live a child must be 5 no later then June 30 to enter kindergarten this year. Because of the cutoff many children in kindergarten will turn 6 before the end of the calendar year, nearly all will be 6 by the end of the school year in May. The June 30 cutoff is popular in many locals. When I started school in Indiana it was December 31. That was 1968. They didn't have kindergarten in the public schools in this state back then. K-6 is elementary school, 7-8 is junior high & 9-12 is high school though in the town I attended high school in Az., 9th was part of junior high. Some school sysytems have middle schools instead of junior high, this is 7th & 8th plus 6th & maybe 5th.

You're an educated informed person! For christ's sake man, America is the center of the Universe. You should be embarrassed not to know this. But you are correct about 'Upper Four A' making no sense to most of us but that is because of Britain's relative position in the contemporary world.
