Default Petition for an independent England and Wales.

We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to 'bring forward legislation to hold a referendum for all registered electors in both Wales and England asking the two electorates whether they are in favour of Welsh independence and that if, when the votes are counted, there is a majority in either nation that votes in favour of Welsh independence, then this will be sufficient to bring about an amicable and fair end to the legislative union of these two great and ancient nations of Wales and England.'‏

So England herself is not being offered `independence`, only Wales?

It was the only petition that the Scots currently infesting number 10 would accept.

An England petition was repeatedly declined and thrown out as silly.

Then this does not serve the cause of England. The English are the largest nation in the UK and they are at the same time the most disenfrancised one.
The era of party politics and doings things by their rules is over. Let`s stop playing politics using the rules imposed upon us.

You can only change the rules when the rules are yours to change. Till that day arives, we play them at their own games.

But in your words-they wouldn`t accept a petition for an independent England! Yet we live in an alleged democracy. It is not up to 10 Downing Stree what petition they will or will not `decline`. Go ahead and prepare an English petition and I will sign it but I and many others will not play these silly games.
There is an untapped reservoir of potential out there in the English[readAnglo-Saxon] nation which could and should be utilised.
Over recent years this has been done for various causes such as hunting and the countryside campaigns. Superficially the demonstrations were about these specific issues but unconsciously it was an expression of something else far deeper.
You see we do not have to play by their rules and we will perish like lambs to the slaughterhouse if we continue to do as we are told.

I see the point and the passion to your words, but the game is theirs and we must become the better players.

They give the Scottish and Welsh the choice of independence and freedom, then they will have to award the English the same. The petition set out to distinguish this disparity and outright treason by the British government, and the game is a foot.

    Tally-ho.

It is called PEOPLE POWER Wat, the same people power that brought down the Berlin Wall and caused the collapse of communism in eastern Europe and we ignore that potential at our peril. Keep playing the games by their rules and expect continued failure.
I refuse to regard myself as somehow inferior to a Welshman or Scot.

Unfortunately the world today thinks "people power" comes with their John Lennon compilation CD and/or their special edition Martin Luther King, gold plated all time greatest speeches.

Its getting there. Slowly but surely. Last EU election there was 1 million on the right side of the coin, but there is a long way to go till we can have the Peasants Revolt Part 2.

A thousand failures is better than a thousand chances failed to commit to action.

Many English are of Scots and Welsh descent.
