    I've seen a better offer with 'future proof' specifications. The memory alone is 64 gb, BluRay writer etc for £2000. Just thinking if I should spend that much on a computer. Especially when I would only use it for things like 'word' etc...

    I was about to get a Ivy but despite low power consumption, Intel just gone cheap and use crappy thermal paste between the core and ihs.. So it heats crazy after 4.4-4.5GHz unless you remove the ihs and use liquid ultra and reset the ihs.. With Haswell hopefully Intel wont go cheap.. also with Haswell, also Z87 chipset will appear which supports 6xsata3 ports.. I just dont want to change mobo for mere 2xsata3 ports..

    yea it's true, but it only lowers the temp by 10degrees if you remove the ihs.
    Well do you have 6 ssd's?
