Sure, maybe then the media would stop confusing your names so much. Using British synonymously with English.

You guys got too many names

British isles to refer to the whole of the islands.
    Great Britain
    United Kingdom
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

Its possible you guys got the most seperated Wiki pages of any other location in the world. Christ sakes, pick one! .

Should have just did like we did, and take the name of an entire continent. Thats how you do it.
Send me dms asking me to classify you, i'll have Barbarianna of Barbaria here put a few holes in you. Then I'll take this guitar and smash it over your head.

Switzerland is an exception because it is incredibly wealthy. In general small nations are doomed to fail in the long run. Imagine the scenario of a 3rd world war. They are going to be crushed within short time. I would love to see a GERMANIC UNION but I am aware of the fact that this is just a vision and not so popular among the general population.

Well summarized. I remember a Finnish study that showed ethnic conflict was very highly correlated with ethnic diversity. The same will happen in Britain - it already is.

Which small nations have failed? In terms of population, I can't think of many. In terms of size, island states aren't doing too bad either (though that may be due to tourism).

As for Switzerland, yes it is wealthy, and it's a small country. That doesn't contradict what I said.

As for the Celtic countries, they can make a union if they want.

Britain was formed 1707 between England & Scotland
United Kingdom is Britain & Ireland 1801. Newer than the US?

In todays world. War could be the flick of switch, a whole city destroyed. Big & small countries lose.

England could have a devolved democracy, which might help to get more mileage out of the union. It would be more democratic.

The United Kingdom is a powerful military-strategic landmass, and I would also like Ireland to become part of a federal Britain again, but the British problem needs to be resolved and we must have devolutionary democratic reforms, like Switzerland.
