Very good film. Bar the minute part in the beginning where a fucking Rastafarian is suddenly in the middle of Roman England, and the 15 minutes of a Muslim and an African being part of the story, the rest is as close to an Apocalypto as us Europeans are gonna get till that Kyke hating, Fenian loving MOFO Mel Gibson brings on that movie spoken only in Old Norse.

I guess I feel like Hollywood often presents me with relationship scenarios that I can't take seriously. The grossest example of this are any of the crime-solving shows on American television (CSI, Law & Order). Yeah, they only wish the races jibed like that.

But yeah, I agree with the above points about Inception. Slight spoiler****

When it kept cutting back to the Econo van part during the climax, I found it rather comical. It was like, "okay, I get it. Time is a tickin'. "

I haven't skimmed through this whole thread, but can anyone tell me if Robin Hood was decent?
It all depends what you mean by decent, but I liked it quite a bit. Not your Errol Flynn nor (horribly acted) Kevin Costner affair. It actually had a good plot line and subplot lines imo. I love Russell Crowe however so I'm a tad biased to say the least. But he, Cate Blanchett and Max von Sydow play their roles extremely well. I'm looking forward to the next one!

Oh last movie I watched was on tv: Must Love Dogs! a romantic comedy with Diane Lane and John Cusack. John Cusack can do no wrong, well other than his most recent offering which was moronic: Hot Tub Time Machine. Oh well.

Thanks. I can't get anyone to go see it with me. I don't think it's playing anymore at the threater, anyways. But I will see it thanks to this thread. I guess I'll have to see it at the Ghetto Dollar.

But I always loved the Robin Hood story/mythology. When I was a kid, I watched the Disney animated one with the anthropromorphic animals I don't know how many times. The odd thing about that one is they gave the characters of Nottingham southern American accents. It confused me when I later saw more culturally faithful versions of the story. I didn't understand why the Sheriff was saying words like "shall" instead of "tarnation."

And when you say you saw a movie with John Cusack, it stands to reason that it was more than likely a romantic comedy. Aside from Runaway Jury and Being John Malcovich, does he act in any other type of movie?

Thumbs up The Spy Who Loved Me

The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) is the tenth spy film in the James Bond series, and the third to star Roger Moore as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond. It was directed by Lewis Gilbert and the screenplay was written by Christopher Wood and Richard Maibaum. The film takes its title from the tenth novel in Ian Fleming's James Bond series, though as Ian Fleming requested that only the title of the novel be used, the film does not contain any elements of the novel The Spy Who Loved Me.[1] The storyline involves a reclusive megalomaniac named Stromberg who plans to destroy the world and create a new civilisation under the sea. Bond teams up with a Russian agent Anya Amasova to stop Stromberg.
The Spy Who Loved Me was highly acclaimed by critics.[2] The soundtrack, composed by Marvin Hamlisch, also met tremendous success. The film was nominated for three Academy Awards amidst many other nominations and subsequently novelised in 1977 by Christopher Wood as James Bond, The Spy Who Loved Me.

Thumbs up a heroine from my childhood and an inspiration to many of the grrrlz i have known

Agora was Spain's highest grossing film of 2009, earning over $10.3 million within four days of its release on October 9. The film grossed over $32.3 million (€ 21.4 million) by December 1st and grossed about $35 million by February 1, 2010. Based on North American theatre tracking data from Rentrak Theatrical, indieWIRE reported that Agora "scored the highest per-theater-average of any film in the marketplace" during the Memorial Day holiday weekend from May 28 through May 31, just after its U.S. limited release.
