opposed to people of color or, say, Muslims, white men as a subgroup are in such a privileged position in our society that they are the one group that our political system avoids demographically profiling or analytically aggregating in any real way. Indeed, unlike other demographic, white guys as a group are never thought to be an acceptable topic for any kind of critical discussion whatsoever, even when there is ample reason to open up such a discussion.

What's white privilege? I rarely see white people getting things because of their race... on the contrary, however, lots are excluded because of their race (jobs, college applications, grad school, etc.). The only people that benefit from nepotism or group affiliation are the Jews.

Are you sure it's slavery and not the 75% of them being born to single parents, degenerate culture they created, low IQ and high testosterone?

BTW most white people got to America as slaves (indentured servants) and most Irish and Italians faced similar persecution, it never held them back.

I do get the point the article is making though.. I've also noticed when a criminal is black, people just think "Oh, he's black and that's what they do" whereas if the criminal is white, an alternate explanation is searched for to explain away the crime.. mental illness, a bad childhood, etc.

Well, yeah. With any crime you have to look at MOTIVE. A black guy kills someone... what's new? A terrorist blows up a building... clear premeditation and salient thought behind it. A white guy shoots up a school... what's his motive here? No political goals, no agenda, he's probably insane.

BTW Anders Brevik was easily labeled a terrorist, because he had a clear motive, and he's white.

in my opinion this is asinine simply due to the fact that "white men" isn't a proper classification. It means nothing as far as a "profile" goes. They should specifically say "WASP" or "Anglo-American".

In fact it's a popular fallacy that "black" people are stereotyped or profiled. In fact it's only the Afro-American ethnic group that undergoes such discrimination. Blacks as a whole not really (ethiopians, jamaicans, haitians, kenyans, etc).

The next fallacy is that "muslims" (Arab they're probably alluding to) are a branch of "white people" too.
