Getting addicted to Cigarretes. Any suggestions?

Awful or not,that worked for me.
The very first step when it comes to smoking,is to accept that it is a thing worthy to do.
It gives pleasure.PERIOD.
Next step is to bring up the hazardous effects for your health and your pocket.
Only that way I managed to stop smoking.

That gums or the breathing exercises never worked...for me at least.

Quit cold turkey - that's the only way to go. Everything else is just torture. Nicotine gum, patches, etc....just makes you think about cigarettes even more. Cold turkey is the way to do it.

Then start exercising (if you don't already) and increase your daily activity. Exercise will make you not want to smoke plus it will keep your mind occupied.

Think about the money you can save. Just do the math and play around with it. Look at the future legislation of cigarette taxes by your government. Then you'll stop smoking.

I cough, splutter, have chest pains. I've been smoking for almost 20 years and it started off as a little puff here and there. Even when coughing up blood, what do I do? I reach for the nearest cigarette because I can't imagine stopping.
