What Civilization would you play in Sid Meier

I played the first game "Sid Meier Civilzation I". I used to Play most of the Time the Russians and Byzantines and sometimes Indians and Americans. A few times the Germans.

Which Nation would you choose?

I didn't play this game before .I can't say before trying which one are best with my skills But ofcourse I have my favorite civilisations in this game, that's why i liked.

I pick india because of easy management of happiness..

for example you get double the unhappiness from number of cities but half the unhappiness from population size.. Also you can build mughal forts to straigthen your city defence and you'll get +2 culture.. It has no maintance cost and it'll provide gold after you discovered flight..
