Russians or any science civ. Fast science turn around, take neighbouring capitals early with expansion, game over. (Actually several hundred more boring turns with you in total control but whatever)

I've played all the series since Civilization II
Civ II : I liked it a lot
Civ III + all Expansions : I consumed the cd-roms
Civ IV + All DLC and Expansions : Not liked
Civ V + All DLC and Expansions : Liked a lot, it's a drug!
Civ VI + All DLC and Expansions : Not liked, gameplay too slow and clunky

In Civ 3, I played as India, but in Civ 4 with the introduction of religion, I converted the Germans to Hinduism and conquered everyone. I was never really good at it and grew tired of it pretty quickly.

It's the type of game that wears out really fast. Better try something else."In Civ 3, I played as India, but in Civ 4 with the introduction of religion, I converted the Germans to Hinduism and conquered everyone. I was never really good at it and grew tired of it pretty quickly."
By the way, just in case anyone’s interested, my brother Steve is selling a few truck wheel and tire packages with mount and balance tires. If anyone’s interested, feel free to PM me.

Not a big Civ fan, I hate the roll the dice combat, I need blood and pain.

CIV 5 AND 6 really look awful, I didn't like them or use them( i Have had one copy of civ 5, but it ran too slow on my comp plus it didn't have so many user-friendly advantages like old CIV4 had, such as editing my nation, using the worldbuilding function and so on)
CIV4 with mods stands out as the best for me even for this very day, though I stopped playing it along time ago, itself has some plotholes and gets boring after some time, even with that giant mod installed. I would have prefered to be added some demographics function. I mean, civ lore is even destroyed in the engine mechanics, in real world people still make babies even without food, it's possible. And there are other RP games where food isn't used for pop growth , it isn't a main factor in some games.
CIV 3 played it too, but gets boring quickly and doesn't have an in-game built WB thing.
and for civ4 I recommend RoM as main mod, better than dawn of civilization, since it's faster paced. You don't start from 10k BC though.
