It is unofficial estimate. But we will see it this year since Census is finally sheduled. I live in Bosnia acctually. PS good proportion of ecah people are irreligious.

Actually the only South Slavic countries which are Orthodox are Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro.

Macedonia is also majority Orthodox.

Geographically, Dalmatian part of Croatia would be the most Balkan part, but culturally it is not Balkan due to obvious reasons. There are some exceptions like some parts of Dalmatian Hinterland which can be considered Balkan in every sense.

Croats from B&H unlike those from Croatia are uber Balkanians, geographically and culturally.

Modern Croatia is Catholic. But traditionally about 15% of Croatia was Serb Orthodox.

Besides this, Croatia has been massively affected culturally by Yugoslavia. So ottoman words, ottoman foods, Belgrade culture and balkan mentality pervades most of Croatia.

I do not know what to say honestly. Perhaps, neither Western nor Eastern or both Western and Eastern but not just Balkan.

Id say that people view themselves closer to Slovenia but since time heals wounds I see that people are turning to Serbia too more and more. It is just my observation.
