    i've seen alot of brazilians surprised when they hear the accent of the islands

    is very difficult for a "Brazilian" differentiate accents of Portugal, since it is difficult for a Brazilian understand what you guys say.

    The Portuguese on average speak more correctly than us I'd say (following the grammar better than us). They tend to speak faster also. I've opened a thread on Brazilian accents here:

    I can distinguish the Azorean accent, it is quite unique indeed.
