It seems that number of Slavic names in our country, is decreesing, generally.
But when I look at names of Czechoslovak and Czech Presidents, the situation is reverse.
All of Czechoslovak Presidents had non-Slavic firstnames
Tomáš, Evdard, Beneš, Emil, Klement, Antonín (2 times), Ludvík, Gustáv - just the last one had
    Slavic firstname Václav (Havel).
After end of Czechoslovakia we had 3 Czech presidents, all of them had Slavic firstnames:
Václav Havel, Václav Klaus, Miloš Zeman

Don't mind that most are Greek and only Bulgarians have them among Slavs.
Georgi and Nikola are popular also in another Slavic countries, but in different form.

Serbs use Jovan, Poles, Czechs use Janusz/Jan ?
Slovenes also use Jan i think.

    It is Biblical originally ofcourse.
Janusz is Polish variant, Czech use Jan, Slovaks Ján.
Slovenian variant is Janez - I thought that you Croats nicknamed Slovenes Kranjski Janezi?

Problem with using of Slavic firstnames is, that most of them are too long.
Male names with endings like -slav and -mir ar mostly trisyllabic, female names -slava, mira
    are even quadrosylabic.
But shorter bisyllabic names exists too
    (Václav, Vojtěch, Vladan, Zbigniew, Radek).
I know just one monosyllabic name - Vuk, but perhaps exists more of ones.

According the more-syllabic names, ones are used in its lang form just officially, family and friends use shorter nicknames
For example in Czech we use:
    male names
for Jaroslav - Jarek, Jára or Jarda (Slovaks use form Jaro)
for Miroslav - Mirek or Míra (Slovaks use form Miro)
for Vladimír - Vláďa (Slovaks use form Vlado)

    female names
    for Jaroslava - Jarka
    for Miroslava - Mirka
for Vladimíra - Vlaďka or Vladěna

For all names with endings -slav is also possible to use a nickname Slávek
(in female form - slava the nick could be Slávka)
