Some are really fine, some are not. I have a slavicized greek name, my father has a slavicized latin name and my mother has a proper slavic name.

    I think they're fascinating.
Most of them are definitely better than some of the names people in my country are coming up with these days.

Slavic names are easily recognizable, as most of them are desirable. The parents' wish for the child's future is embedded in them. In the Bulgarian name tradition of Slavic origin - for life and health:
Naiden, Mirolyuba, Zlatan, Dragan, Bogdan, Zhivko, Zdravko
for family and family: Bratan, Bayno, Vezenko
for success in life: Parvan, Vidyo, Vida, Velcho, Velika, Sreten
for strength and courage: Warrior, Boyko, Strahil, Silyan
qualities of character: Veselin, Radi, Drago, Dobri, Mila, Iskren, Radoslav
physical beauty: Huben, Vaklin, Rusi, Rumyana, Bela, Mladen, Krassimira, Miroslava.
Close to the wishes for physical beauty are the names, which in themselves mean nice and pleasant things: flowers - Primrose, Nevena, Rose, Violet, Rose, Tsvetants; herbs and grasses - Bilyan (a), Detelin (a); trees and fruits - Elitsa, Kalin (a), Yavor, Yasen, Yagoda, Malina; birds - Pigeon, Dove, Peacock, Nightingale, Falcon; celestial bodies - Zvezda, Zvezdelin (a), Denitsa, Zornitsa.
Slavic spellings are often found, which have a protective function. Protective names, as well as wish names, are associated with the primitive belief in the magical power of the word. They were designed to fight infant mortality. When the first children in the family died, the parents gave their child such a name to protect it from premature death - Stoyko, Stoyan, Stoimen, Zapryan, Traicho, Trayan, Kamen, Kremena, Zhelyazko and others.
Names that protect from evil eyes: Grozyo, Grozdan, Grozdana. The name Naiden, Naida, was given to a child without parents or abandoned.
According to the naive belief of our grandparents, some names have the power to protect against other calamities, such as the sometimes unwanted childbearing. Dosta, Dostena, which means Enough to give birth to a boy after him. And when too many children were born, they baptized the tenth, for example, Zapryan.
The magical power of the name could serve as a lifelong protection against wild beasts and calamities. And since the most dangerous beast in our lands is the wolf, the names are widespread: Wolf, Wolf, Wolf. The names have the same meaning: Ognyo, Ognyan, and maybe Kutsar.
...Even if a man lives well, he dies and another one comes into existence. Let the one who comes later upon seeing this inscription remember the one who had made it. And the name is Omurtag, Kanasubigi.

    Many simplistic peasant names...

Typical, most glorious slavic names for free people are built from two parts, as typical IE name.

    Stan-i-sław, Dzierż-y-sław, Kes-i-mir, Sęd-o-mir, Wrat-y-sław, Czc-i-bor, Śc-i-bor, Lśc-i-sław, Będ-o-mir,
    Borz-y-woj, Sław-o-mir, Włodz-i-mierz, Prze-mysł, Siem-o-wit, Siem-o-mysł, Osmi-o-mysł, Zby-lut, etc.
