Still, Wales has a decent amount of red hair & paleness . Julia Gillard is Welsh & brought up in Australia since 1966.

Yeah I remember watching the rugby growing up and the Welsh teams always had a few redheads whereas the Irish and Scots had only one or two, so I always assumed it would be just as common there if not more so.

Then I found anthro forums and learned that they all look like Antonio Banderas

You sure? Welsh have a strong Mediterranean component, more than anyone else in the British Isles and Croats are the lightest of South Slavs besides Slovenes.

I'm a little bit Welsh, and you're right, I'd say they're about tied for paleness, just by looking at the pics. Both groups have very light people, and some Welsh are darker, but I imagine(not totally sure), that some Croats are darker also.
