Nah, not particularly clever, as I told my webhost to remove IP restrictions from FTP, so that's how he was able to get in. I shouldn't need the FTP restriction, we did remove most of his php injected code but he hides the files in attachments and other weird places.
This is also what happens when I rush the launch.
