You know nothing about Australia. Your mentality is about 80 years late to the party.
Nobody in Australia even gives a flying fuck about supporting the British; the myth of Gallipoli is more centered around the cementing of a distinct Australian identity, one that was thoroughly anti-authoritarian, hence the great conflict between British Officers and Australian diggers on the beaches of Gallipoli.
In any case, the ANZACS are all dead save for one or two of them; and nobody really considers Australia's participation in WWI as crucial to the nation's existence; only its national character. Europe is Europe, and it'll always be 24,000 kilometres away to the average Aussie and even more distant in mentality and priority. They couldn't give a shit; Brits just don't seem to get this.
