"In this classic 1878 presentation to the Anthropology Society of Paris, Doctor Arthur Bordier describes 9 Norwegian Lapps (5 males, 4 females) that he studied. Among their physical characteristics Bordier found these Lapps to be short, light-skinned, and blond, with all of them appearing to be "cheerful and openhearted" as well. In a Discussion period following Bordier's talk, Doctor Jacques Bertillon and Doctor Jules Lunier offer interesting explanations for the long lifespans of the natives of Lapland".
