Give your thoughts about the movie "The Hobbit"

I had slept on this movie twice, so idk, maybe not so good as expected.

I saw first movie in Cinema
2nd on tv
Haven’t seen 3rd and I’m not interested.

I thought the films were well done, especially good for children.
The actor that played Bilbo, Martin Freeman, was very accurate (and had a more Hobbit feel than those form Lotr)

The film suffers badly from three reasons.
1) useless additional material (sub plots, new carachters)
2) bad script. (Peter Jackson has incredible visuals. His Dialogue scenes are terrible)
3) constantly trying to match and add reference to Lord of the Rings trilogy. (Fan Service)

First film 6/10 second film 6/10 third haven’t seen.

Very true...making 3 films from that book was much too much (= just collecting money).

I'm hoping/waiting that Silmarillion will be filmed one day. Of course not as cinema films but long TV-serie ... 8 seasons and some 10 episodes each of them? Maybe after time of Christopher Tolkien (who at the moment owns the rights for it).

I saw all of them in cinema,but I'm not satisfied with PJ's adaption,the role of Tauriel is UNeccessery to the plot,and in the novel Kili and Fili had died by protecting Thorin,but in the last film,Kili died fro protecting Tauriel,WTF?And Legolas' mother was never mentioned in the book,but the film says she's dead,Oh God,single parent setting is not cool
